This hike has amazing scenery, varied terrain, clear lakes, and a few waterfalls to pause and enjoy. The first section is all uphill with switchbacks but once arrived are on the ridge, the trail is pretty even all the way. Throughout the entire hike, the landscape offers some truly incredible views, and this will absolutely be a new favourite for hikers who have yet to find this adventure. The verified route and users alike recommend travelling counter-clockwise around the lake at the start hikers can get the switchbacks done right away and have the view in front of them when you go along the mountains. One of the favourite moments will be going through the meadow between one mountain to the other. During summer, the wildflowers are stunning, but everyone should definitely bring bug spray! Near the end, between reaching the bottom of the last mountain and walking towards the lake there are a lot of streams that sometimes overflow during the early summer after the melt over a few of the bridges they have put up. So be aware that hikers might have to find a new way to cross the river. During a hot summer hike, everyone highly recommends jumping into both the Yoho Lake just off Yoho Pass and Emerald Lake at the bottom!
